Proud to Support the OSS Jasmund Project, from Engineering to Execution!

We’re proud to have contributed to the OSS Jasmund project, supporting Aertssen Group with tailored lifting solutions, engineering input, and logistics for some of the heaviest lifts carried out at the yard in Vlissingen.

From the early stages, we were involved in the engineering of the lifting configuration, ensuring a safe and efficient setup for the heavy structural sections. We supplied a full range of lifting equipment, including our MOD800J/1000 modular spreader beam, used at a span of 25 metres and capable of handling up to 1,000 tonnes.

To ensure the safe handling of the massive loads, we also provided HMPE roundslings with working load limits up to 1,250 tonnes, along with steel wire grommets.

Given the complexity and phased nature of the project, we worked closely with Aertssen to set up a flexible rental agreement. Splitting the rental period into operational and standby rates, aligned with the project’s timeline and lifting schedule.

We also coordinated the transport logistics, ensuring all lifting equipment arrived on site on time and ready for immediate use.

Key milestones included the successful installation of the 1,100-tonne structural jacket section, followed by the lift of the 842-tonne cable deck to a height of 72 metres.

A big thank you to Aertssen Group for entrusting us with this assignment and for the great collaboration throughout the project!
